AND MORE
Comics: Self-contained, experimental, include a title card with your name. Gag panel, strip, one page, or two-pages in length. We have limited spots for color content, so B&W submissions are preferred, but color comics are fun to include occasionally!
Interviews: Do you need an excuse to chat with a professional that interests you? We can work with you to make the connection and formulate a short, focused set of questions. We know lots of folks that would talk with you. Use 3-5 questions related to a single, relevant topic, please. Avoid generic, uninformed questions redundant to other interviews. Get them to talk about something that they usually don’t talk about. No “do you have any advice for young creators?” Be specific, be thoughtful, be respectful of their time.
Articles: We love critical essay, hot takes, news reports, short- and long-form reviews. 100–1500 words. Please include images. Footnotes are converted to endnotes, captions for images appreciated.
Title cards: We always need new title drawings for these recurring features: Table of Contents, Acknowledgments, Editor’s Note, Finding Gordon (or Gordon in the wild), Submissions, Sponsorship, Contributors, Colophon
Doodles: We sprinkle our designs with little B&W sketches of persons/characters/things/places named “Gordon.” You can see a few in every issue. Include your signature or name on the image.
