About Friendship House Books

Friendship House Books is a micro-publisher based in Savannah, GA that focuses on scholarly comics and comics-adjacent content. Initially started in 2019, Friendship House Books has published several quarterly journals, printed a variety of t-shirts, and crafted limited series of trading cards, stickers, and pins. Friendship House Books' primary publication is Gordon Magazine, which has over fifteen issues!

All proceeds of Gordon go towards funding the Jeremy Mullins Scholarship, a travel grant for current Sequential Art graduate students at the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Jeremy Mullins Scholarship

The Jeremy Mullins Scholarship was started by the parents of Jeremy Mullins, who was a web cartoonist and teacher in the Sequential Art Department at SCAD. After he tragically passed away, his parents established a scholarship to help other comic book artists further their artistic careers. The proceeds go towards paying for up-and-coming artists' travel expenses and hotel fees to go to art and comic conventions.

David Allan Duncan

The man. The myth. The legend.

The founder of Friendship House Books and the brain behind Gordon Zine, Duncan is the absentminded leader of the ragtag crew of artistic vagabonds that he wrangles into working for him.

Duncan, aka Uncle Dunkle, has been a professor at SCAD since 2005, and has long been a supporter of local and small press publications.

When he's not working on Friendship House Books or printing Gordon issues, you can find him spending time with his family and pets.
